A unique natural treasure
The beautiful coastal regions and islands of the Mediterranean, where our resorts are sited, face a raft of environmental challenges.
We recognise the paramount importance of safeguarding this unique seascape by operating in a sustainable manner.
Our goal is to lead the hospitality industry in terms of environmental excellence.
Our contribution
Minimizing our ecological footprint
We embrace circular economy principles and have implemented forward-looking policies that contribute to tackling the main areas of concern.
Waste Reduction
Effective waste management is vital for Wavemaker to uphold its commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence. At the group level, we manage landfill waste at 1.11 kg per person per day (PPPD) and recycling waste at 1.26 kg PPPD.
By streamlining practices around waste management, we not only minimize our environmental footprint but also drive resource conservation and cost savings.
Water Consumption
Effective water management is crucial for Wavemaker to drive sustainability and demonstrate our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Our current water consumption stands at 0.55 m³ per person per day (PPPD). We leverage innovative water conservation techniques and have rolled out tailored usage strategies to optimize water efficiency and minimize our environmental footprint.
No Single-use Plastics
We've achieved an impressive 80% reduction in single-use plastics over the past three years, underscoring our commitment to sustainability. With increasingly strict regulations on throwaway plastic items, this is a key focus for Wavemaker.
Plastic water bottles have been phased out across our operations and we now utilize reusable water bottles, in another contribution towards a greener future.

Promoting Circular Economy in Our Hotels
At Wavemaker Hospitality, across its all hotels and brands, we are committed to reducing waste, conserving resources, and creating sustainable operations. Circular economy practices help us rethink how we use materials, energy, and resources to minimize environmental impact while maximizing efficiency and value.
Atlantica Miramare Beach, Atlantica Aeneas Resort, and Atlantica Sancta Napa Hotel are proud participants in the “Promotion of Circular Economy in Hotels and Tourist Accommodations” initiative, funded by the EU’s Recovery and Resilience Facility under the Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026.
Through this program, we are advancing sustainability, resource efficiency, and responsible tourism across our hotels. By integrating circular economy practices, we continue to create a positive impact for our guests, communities, and the environment.
